You and performance mangement are the time waster, The best way to manage people is to provide them with the a clear guide to the job role, motivate them, help them, keep yourself a head of the game and feed that knowledge into your staff. Draw a clear line between friendship and management hut treat them with respect becuase if you don't respect them they won't respect themselves or the job they do. Performance mangement never did anything other than squeeze a couple of extra percent out of people for an very short and limited time

I need to know about how to relate between performance management and talent management. Thank you if you can give me some pictorial description.
Performance management is based on past performance. For example looking at sales made by a salesperson last week. Where as talent management is assigning the right job to the righ man. This is done by forecasting the ability of a person to perform in future for specific tasks.... by analysis of personal traits and by finding about personal goals of a person etc. Performance management is a relatively easy task as compared to talent management. Talent management also involves training and or developing. Identification of fast learners and people capable of performing better under new/unseen conditions.
The relationship between 2 is that Talent management comes 1st and it effects the performance. So if the results of performance management show that performance is low. The area of investigation should include talent management. may be wrong people have been picked to do the job. May be they need more training and development to perform well etc.

What is the difference b/w Management accounting and performance management?
In sharp contrast to financial accounting, managerial accounting information is intended to serve the specific needs of management. Business managers are charged with business planning, controlling,
and decision making. As such, they may desire specialized reports, budgets, product costing data, and other details that are generally not reported on an external basis. Further, management may dictate
the parameters under which such information is to be accumulated and presented. For instance, GAAP may require that certain research costs be deducted immediately in computing a business’s externally reported income; on the other hand, management may see these costs as a long-term investment and stipulate that internal decision making be based upon income numbers that exclude such costs. This is their prerogative.
Performance management is the tools to measure the performance of management, normally via a budget variance analysis, an objectives setting, review & control technique etc..

Is there a Performance management department within Human Resource Department for reviewing of employees performance?
If not, which department in HR are they catagorized as?
This group is in the HR department but only in very large companies

If you were hired as a consultant to institute a performance management system in a law enforcement agency, describe your first course of action.
Talk to the objects of the system, the employees themselves, and also review what's already been done. Those two activities will give you a LOT of information on how to build a new system. You need to know what kinds of incentives and disincentives will work, as well as understand the culture (usually very odd in law enforcement).
