Should I look for a new job in the legal or corporate industries?
I am currently looking to find another position either in the legal(currently I am a legal secretary) or corporate hedge fund/investment industries. The purpose of this move is to find a company that sponsers my future plans to obtain an mba. Are there any corporate law firms that help fund a Masters in Business Administration or should i just look into hedge fund companies/businesses? Also does anyone know how these hedge fund companies work, I see the perks and benefits but what are the cons?
why would a law firm care if a secretary got an mba??? they wouldnt pay for it nor shoiuld they.

Can there be capitalism without the current form of corporate structures or legal "personhood"?
Can there be a "non-corporate" capitalism in some way. Or at least a modified corporate structure system that isn't imbued with legal "personhood" and it's rights to influencing our real-person governmental and justice systems?
And before anyone puts forth the argument that "corporations are only people" actually they're legal and contractual structures (legal machines) created to indefinitely exist for the pure purpose of making profit, through removing all blocks to doing so, and limiting the liabilities of those benefiting. We don't give legal "personhood" to any other machines we create, why corps? Doing so seems to have given the fox the ability to run the hen-house.
Through legal "personhood" corporations gained access and influence to the very systems that are supposed to limit them, i.e. gov't, the legal system, etc. This gives these man-made "machines" the ability to remove and erode human constraints to profit making utilizing the very systems that should be limiting them.
Hey, the romans had capitalism of a type. Even dictatorships and communist countries have had capitalism (they may call it the black market, but it is capitalism and its tolerated). So, yes it can exist. Our corporate structures just seek to make it easier and safer to do.

What does it mean that my boss has listed me on legal forms as a corporate officer? Are there risks/benefits?
I have been part of creating a new e-commerce business over the past year - web development, customer service, marketing - you name it. I have made the main contributions that have led to our very high search engine rankings and booming business. What does it mean that I am listed as a corporate officer. Does it provide him with tax benefits. Should I be getting something for that? Are there any risks involved?
If your boss has listed you as a corporate officer, he is implying that you are a board member (SEC registered or nonprofit corporation). If the business is a sole-proprietorship, he is probably implying that you are in a position of authority, but are not a board member (board members exist only in publicly traded or nonprofit corporations). There are definitely liabilities involved either way. If you are actually a board member, you should make sure you are covered under a corporate Director's and Officer's (D&O) Liability Policy. If you act in a professional capacity (accountant or director) within a corporation or sole-proprietorship, but are not a board member, you should have professional liability insurance as a good measure. This is something you would have to pay for yourself. There are no benefits to your employer for listing you as a corporate officer. He is probably using your name to lend credibility to the business, however, so it would not be unjustified to ask for compensation commensurate with your level of responsibility. The only tax benefits would be listing you as an expense if he pays you a consulting fee, which would be justified. This would decrease his taxable income (income minus expenses equals taxable income).

Legal issues, ethics, and corporate social responsibility have had on management planning with Halliburton?
What kind of impacts have these things had on management planning as far as this company?
The impact was they picked up and moved to Dubai.
Lower taxes, no EPA, OSHA or workers unions and still they have all the government business!
Sweet deal!
Look for more companies to follow suit when the taxes increase.
