Next year I am receiving my bachelor in Finance. What kind of jobs should I look for to start out. I have only worked as cashier for a grocery store for 2 years, and i have been an office helper for about one year,and also a teacher's aid for 1 1/2 years. That's all my work experience. Not really that hard of work.After I graduate, how do i apply for jobs. Do i go in and ask for an application or do i send out resumes or what? I ask been throwing around the idea of working at a bank as a teller to start out. What are some other jobs that are good? Thanks for any help.

Bank teller? That only requires a high school diploma. Do not sell yourself short. You need to start out as a sales representative who opens new accounts, originates mortgages etc at minimum. I would also look into indeed.com you can put in Finance Degree and it will pull up all job listings in your area listing that background requirement. Indeed.com is a combination of all job search websites.

I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics and am working on a master's in statistics. I want to work in finance, but most jobs require a lot of experience. There must be something I can do to get a foot in the door. Any suggestions?
I've taken business/economics courses an an undergraduate and a couple as electives recently. I have no finance experience. I'd like to eventually be a financial analyst.

Well you are certainly blessed to have such a math ability! How about jobs such as accounting assistant, bookkeeper, payroll or billing clerk, or accounts payable/receivable. Perhaps you can check the local hospitals for some of those types of jobs or check the Sunday (day typically most jobs listed) classified ads. It's great to follow-up on whichever job ad that you answer a few days to a week later, even if there is merely a fax number provided. And you probably are already aware, but always send a cover letter along with the resume. The cover letter expands on one's resume. Good luck to you!

i am interested in finance and i just want to know what you need for a career in fnance and what type of jobs are out there. Can finance be combined with some type of science

Can you also suggest other careers that invole more numbers and less business?

Banker, broker, financial adviser, accountant, treasurer....etc

For example, if I majored in Finance during college, what types of jobs in the healthcare industry would I be able to apply for with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Finance?

What jobs would I be able to apply for if I get an MBA in Finance? Or is there such a thing as a healthcare concentration in Finance for an MBA?
