I have recently graduated with a law degree and i have a particularly legal background. currently a legal assistant in employment and litigation. I have recently had a 2wk temporay position as a banking paralegal. i however have no experience in banking/finance.

I'm looking for a full-time job with the hours from 7am-3:30p monday to friday in Los Angeles nearby Downtown LA or Wilshire. I'm getting laid off from my current job as an assistant to a mortgage broker where I had those hours.

Anyone know what jobs titles I can find?

I'm dealing with a bank where the bank manager refuses to give my RRSP(Im in canada) and He refuses to close my account that has been without use since 2005! What in the world can I do? I know for sure he must be breaking Canadian Banking laws. What can i do to protect myself?

If the RRSP is locked in, you can't get it out until the maturity date...no real way around that...

If you want information on Bank law, I'd Google "Canada Bank Legislation" and if it's a Credit Union, "Your Province Credit Union Legislation"

in 1987 the expedited fund availability Act has passed a law requiring bank to have deposit check available on the next business day. This practice has affected the bank industry greatly resulting to billions of dollars in losses.

How does this law affect bank tellers of today? What challenges are there for banks?

You might want to check your facts. Also spell check will tell you if a word is spelled incorrectly but, not if you chose the wrong word. Hopefully English is not your native language because anyone who has the desire to ask this question should know the difference between proper use of "there" and "their".

I was told that the law in england has been change to say that banks can only charge you £15 for any unpaid items is this true let me know

Do a search for the banking ombudsman. I got a sample letter and sent it to my bank, HSBC, who were charging me £125 for being £50 overdrawn. I threatened to take them to court and recieved £1200 compensation. The banks can not be bothered wasting time and money taking on their customers in court.
